The route validator should check direction, duplicate city logic, surface sectors, stopover count, segment count, open jaws, turnaround point and broad product fit.

Important limitation

The planned validator should be described as an indicative rule-screening tool only. It must not guarantee ticketability or fare availability. Final checking must remain with the GDS, airline, alliance booking tool, wholesaler or issuing agency.
